Mission

The mission of the Olivia Knighton Foundation is to honor Olivia’s short but beautiful life by spreading her light, love, passion, and kindness. It is our goal to enable children to follow their dreams and make the world a better place by providing scholarships and grants, spreading acts of kindness, and supporting the causes that were most important to Olivia: children’s welfare, protection of animals, and education.

The organization’s operating activities will be conducted primarily by Brad and Britney Knighton as well as an extensive network of volunteers. It will be governed by a Board of Directors who will have fiduciary responsibility for the organization and provide strategic guidance and leadership. Currently, the Board is comprised of six members.

About Olivia

Olivia Grace Knighton was born on November 3, 2011 in Greensboro, North Carolina.  She lived her first years in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia where her dad, Brad Knighton, played professional soccer for the Vancouver Whitecaps.  In 2014, Olivia and her parents, Brad and Britney, moved to Attleboro, MA where Brad continued his professional soccer career with the New England Revolution.  She became a big sister to brothers Owen and Brooks, and was a friend to everyone!  She loved school, writing poetry, playing soccer and basketball, drawing, painting, arts and crafts, making bracelets, rescuing animals, and adventures of all kinds!

Olivia loved life.  She lived and loved fiercely and had the kindest heart, always lending a helping hand, being there for her friends, family and neighbors, and could always brighten someone’s day with her beautiful smile.  She loved celebrations of every kind, especially Christmas and birthdays!  She was always looking for a way to turn things into a celebration. She had so much passion for everything she did in her life, and that beautiful light will continue to shine through every life she touched.
